Little surprise and something to make you think about your weekend Foxes selections.

Newcastle United have announced today that Steve McClaren has left Newcastle with immediate effect.  Under McClaren they set a number of club records including lowest points total and fewest goals scored away from home so the move was not unexpected.

The expected new appointment is a pretty impressive one with Rafa Benitez thought to be joining as Manager.

With the riches of the new TV deal the Magpies need to be in the Premier League next season.  If it happens, then on paper Benitez is the best appointment the club have made in many years.  Having said that what a first game in charge.  Home to Sunderland with possibly both clubs in the relegation zone and just 9 games left in the season.

Have Newcastle done the right move in removing McClaren?  Do you see Rafa as the man to keep them up in the short term?
