Its seems the transfer window rumours are getting going a week early this time around. The Hammers start the ball rolling in what will be and incredible summer.

We aren't quite at season's end but as a sign to what I believe will be the most sensational Premier League summer ever has already started.

Hammers co-chairman David Sullivan confirmed the club have bid £24m for a mystery player and will make a 2nd bid of around £25m for a second player this week.

Rumours suggest that the £24m player is playing in France, while the £25m bid will be for a player currently in the Premier League.

With West Ham United moving into the 50,000 seater Olympic stadium next season they clearly wish to push on with their transfer policies.

The question is, who are these players the club are bidding for?  They have made it clear a top forward is needed but who will they chose?

Daniel Sturridge?

Well it could be and I'm sure a move back to the capital wouldn't be out of the question for his taste.  If it is Daniel (assuming Liverpool will sell) they may face competition from Arsenal who also need a top striker this summer.

With the Gunners history of injured players West Ham seems the better match for the player's health while Arsenal offers the Champions League adventures.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic?

The box office star would be a brilliant move and quite the statement from the Hammers.  At 35 the supposed bigger clubs will likely pass on him making the Hammers a possible location for one of the game's best players.

Can you imagine the fun watching West Ham with Dimitri Payet and Ibra in the same team?  Pretty sure the behind the scenes stories would be just as much fun,

Someone else?

Odion Ighalo? Romelu Lukaku? Christian Benteke?

I hope it's Ibrahimovic but as they say "let the silly season start"
