Euro 2016: Saturday Live Chat, Come On England!

If the Euro's can follow the drama from the opening evening ,then we will have a great tournament to watch over the next few weeks.

Host's France left it late to win the game with Romania with a quite brilliant Dimitri Payet goal.  Olivier Giroud had given France the early second half lead from a Payet cross.  Bogdan Stancu leveled it from the penalty spot after Nicolae Stanciu had won Romania the pen.

Today we have three games

Albania v Switzerland

Wales v Slovakia

England v Russia

I have Elseid Hysaj for Albania, Dusan Kuciak for Slovakia and Harry Kane for England so a player in every game.

My captain choice for game day 1 was Olivier Giroud for day 1 and he returned 10 points.  For me it's swap time so  Harry Kane gets a double chance to please me.  News that we may be going back to him playing in a central role was behind me selecting him in the end and hope he can reward my faith.

A few players put the armband on Payet.  A certain Mr Renegade warned us all to pick him and also gave him the armband himself and he wasn't the only player in the Beat The Bloggers league.   Well done to all those who did, you have had a great start.
