Week one of the season is in the books and it’s time to celebrate, brag or moan about the fantasy week just passed.
Let’s take a look at the Beat The Bloggers teams of the week.
FPL team of the week – Sajat FC – 105 points
Monster weeks are wonderful and you can’t get much better timing than hitting one in the opening weekend.

Our winner chose to play their bench boost chip in an interesting way. While many of us will hold deep into the spring and the arrival of the double weeks, Sajat FC played it straight away. When you do play the chip you need to catch a little luck and Sajat was rewarded with a clean sheet and pair of goals from the bench.
In total the week saw 5 clean sheets, 2 assists and 6 goals plus a few bonus points to make things even better. Finally, getting the captain right is a challenge most weeks, but with the armband on Lukaku the goals returned total turned to 8.
Sajat FC’s 105 points puts the side at 1841st position in a global game of 4.2 million players, quite the achievement and an almost perfect start to the season.
Fantrax team of the week – Team Saxo – 131 points

A fantastic start by Saxo with a disciplined team selection seeing a side with no Harry Kane or Manchester City attacker.
The building block to any great week is often a keeper who provides the win and clean sheet double. From there a brace of cleans sheets provided steady point returns. Four assists in midfield plus all three forwards scoring for a total of 4 goals saw the well balanced side return well balanced points.
Lukaku was the top points scorer, but he showed once again how risky a pick he can be under the Fantrax rules. The Manchester United hitman cost just under 19m to buy and returned 21pts with two goals. As an example Rooney meanwhile hit 17pts with just the one goal, while Zaha 11pts with no goal or assist. Lukaku is a goalscoring must in FPL right now, but in Fantrax he remains a luxury, so we should be cautious of when to buy.
Congratulations on our weekly winners. We hope to see your thoughts in the comments section below and perhaps give us some tips for week 2.
How did everyone else do? Did you have a great, par or shocking week to start the fantasy season?
