We kick off the second half of the Premier League season today. The first half was exciting, seeing Liverpool rise to the top of the table. More locally, FC Brent is residing at the summit of the NMA “BTB” league.

I’m not going predict what is going to happen in the second half of the season; I’ll leave that to someone in possession of a crystal ball. Let’s have a look at what’s coming up in Game Week 20 though.

Liverpool face Arsenal at Anfield in the game of the weekend. We’re always excited around here for a “Big Six” encounter. Fantasy managers will have eyes glued to the action, following the fortunes of Mo Salah and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (and a defender or keeper or two).

The bottom of the table clash between Fulham FC and Huddersfield Town is also significant: The loser will go into 2019 rooted to the bottom of the table facing a major climb out of the relegation zone.

Here are some news and notes before the game week 20 transfer deadline.

  • Anthony Martial has trained and could possibly return to the Manchester United lineup. He is their top scorer, so Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would surely want to include him.
  • Kieran Trippier is likely to start for Mauricio Pocchetino, which would be a huge disappointment for the managers who brought in Kyle Walker-Peters after his 18 point midweek performance.
  • Mathew Ryan is unavailable for Brighton, Asian Cup duty sees him miss out. We await word on whom among the 4.0-priced replacements is going to step in.
  • Pedro is out for Chelsea with a hamstring injury.
  • James Milner is not in the Liverpool squad, injury making him unavailable.
  • Five matches start at deadline time, so Fantrax managers can see confirmed lineups for ten teams in the countdown hour — Be here!
