We’re back in action for the UCL semifinal 2nd leg.

On paper, it looks like an academic outing for Barcelona to secure their spot in the final while Ajax look to have the upper hand on the back of a slender away win.

But this is the Champions League where great stories are written, heroes are made, and legends are born.

Will there still be another twist to this competition?

Tuesday 7th May

Liverpool vs Barcelona

Liverpool delivered a creditable performance at Camp Nou in the first leg, but they were undone by a clinical Barcelona attack. Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez were in particularly imperious form to put themselves full on the front foot in this tie.

For this match, Liverpool are suffering from serious injury problems owing to the absence of Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino. It’s left to be seen whether Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi can ably deputize.

Barcelona have no such issues having rested their entire team at the weekend, with only Ousmane Dembele being an injury doubt.

Wednesday 9th May

Ajax vs Tottenham

A superb 1st leg performance from Ajax have given them the advantage in this tie. They will return to their home stadium with the advantage of an away goal lead and will be confident of finishing the job against Spurs.

However, Spurs will be optimistic especially given that they will have the services of Heung Min Son (who was suspended for the first leg). With everything at stake, this match is shaping up to be a cracker!

Spurs will miss Harry Kane, Davinson Sanchez and Harry Winks to injury but Jan Vertonghen could possibly return after his 1st leg head injury. Ajax are at full strength for this one.
