The Premier League is finally back after two long weeks of international football, and much has happened since then. After the last round of fixtures was done and dusted, the international transfer window was shut on October 5th, and several new (to EPL) players are ready to make an impact, especially in the fantasy world.
However, international duty has turned out to be problematic, with too many players injured or facing fitness tests. Still, Liverpool and Manchester United must be dying to get back on the pitch to redeem themselves after nightmare results suffered at the hands of Aston Villa and Tottenham.
English top-flight fans will be delighted to have their favorite league back this weekend, with multiple derbies on the cards. We begin with in-form Everton facing defending champions Liverpool in one of the most fascinating Merseyside derbies in recent memory. A tactical master class is in store as Jurgen Klopp and Carlos Ancelotti face each other on the sidelines. On top of that, former apprentice Mikel Arteta visits his former master Pep Guardiola as Manchester City hosts Arsenal.
Former Manchester United managers David Moyes and Jose Mourinho face off in a London Darby as West Ham visits Tottenham. We may very well get our first glimpse of Gareth Bale’s return to the Premier League.
To top it all, another interesting game to watch is two teams with never-give-up attitude when Leeds tackles Wolves on Monday night.
Fantasy football managers may have plenty to think about rotating or switching injured players with in-form or ready to prove their worth, so let’s get your A-game ready and chat about what player and match are you most excited to watch for this game-week 5 edition of the Premier League.
