Rate My Teams: FPL and Fantrax Game-Week 4

Check out my Fantasy teams as I try to capitalize on the high-scoring EPL season.

After more mid-week cup fixtures following a free-scoring game-week 3, game-week 4 is nearly upon us. Here are my current squads across FPL and both Fantrax platforms, as well as some of my thoughts on potential changes.

Official FPL

After a poor start, Alex McCarthy picked up a clean-sheet in game-week 3, and I’m not in a rush to drop him against West Brom. Further in the future, I may upgrade Steer on my bench to a £4.5Mil keeper to allow for rotation.

I’m content enough with my defense right now, and apart from TAA, they are priced low. Tottenham’s Ben Davies hasn’t really panned out so far, so with Sergio Reguilón’s arrival, I will most likely look to jetison Davies before his price drops.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang keeps his place with a favorable home fixture, as does Mo Salah. Timo Werner is close to having Darth Vader show him the floor, so this week’s favorable home fixture may be his last chance to “redouble his efforts”. Jamie Vardy is too hard to ignore, as are the in-form Danny Ings and Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Aleksandar Mitrović has not overly impressed, however he is priced low so I won’t ditch him just yet.

I have one free transfer to use with £2.0Mil in the bank and no chips used. My current thinking is either Davies > Saiss/Semedo or Werner > Calvert-Lewin.

Fantrax NMA-11

I still have a fair amount of money left in my account after holding onto underpriced assets such as Kevin De Bruyne, Timo Werner, Marcus Rashford and Raheem Sterling. As it’s an away fixture and they’re similarly priced, Sadio Mane has been brought in for Mo Salah [editor’s note: after testing positive for Coronavirus, Mane should become someone else now]. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also comes in for a favorable home fixture against Sheffield United.

Fantrax NMA-17

Ben Chilwell, Nelson Semedo, Rui Patricio and Sadio Mane come into my team for this week. There isn’t much left in the bank, although I feel the side is relatively well-balanced and has strong potential, after holding on to some cheap assets. I will potentially look at making further changes come Saturday, with Harry Kane as someone who could moved along to make room for Danny Ings.
