125 teams are cut down to 90 — did yours make it?

125 teams had made it through round one. Now those teams needed to finish in the top 90 places amongst themselves for week 6. This was a much lower-scoring week than week 4; the 89th best score was 70 points, so if you got that many (and you made it through round one) you’re through! Also: Kudos to anyone who was eliminated in round one (GW-4) but scored 69.5+ this time; 24 of you each earn one “woulda-coulda-shoulda”.

There were two teams on 69.5 points, BOOMSHAKALAKAS and Ultimate AGFC. These were really quite similar teams so it was very close. Both teams scored one goal (it was Son for both), so again it was goals against that was critical.

Both teams conceded 5 goals, but by virtue of Werner being substituted on 71 minutes, Ultimate AGFC has a fractionally worse GA ratio of 5/700 (0.0097) against 5/719 (0.0071). So by the tiny fraction of 0.0026 GA/min it is BOOMSHAKALAKAS who takes the 90th place.

Round 3 will be in game-week 8, when the survivors will be cut to 60 teams. There are only two further rounds so that makes next time the quarter-finals.
