Rate My Teams: FPL & Fantrax EPL GW-9

Take a look at my revamped fantasy teams following the international break.

We’re back after an International Break, which is always a concern with the potential of injuries and other complications. After having gone a bit stale in the last couple of weeks, this gave me a good chance to step back and make necessary changes to keep me focused on moving up the table. My decisions look forward at the best upcoming fixtures leading to a busy festive period. Here are my respective fantasy teams in FPL and Fantrax:

Official FPL

Wildcard triggered!

I have been rather conservative with my funds so far, with a whopping £4.4Mil in the bank, keeping the potential to buy a low-owned but high-priced explosive player such as Kevin De Bruyne or Raheem Sterling if required. While it’s good to have a bit of wiggle room available in the bank, I will look at upgrading where possible/required to ensure I’m giving myself the best chance of success; it’s not worth keeping such a high figure in the bank.

The biggest decision was to remove Liverpool’s Mo Salah, swapping him out for Bruno Fernandes. Cash was also saved with Trent Alexander-Arnold moving out, replacing with Ben Chilwell; however, his injury doubt may convince me to move for Reece James.

As this is a wildcard with a Saturday deadline, further changes will be sure to happen, which I will mention in the comments section as I go along.

Currently on 479 points, ranked 576,505 overall.

Fantrax NMA-11

I’m lagging behind a bit in this league (85th) and have limited funds due to some poor early choices and unfortunate injuries, so I need a bit of a refresh. My budget doesn’t afford me much room for maneuver, so in come Hakim Ziyech, Richarlison and Reece James.

Fantrax NMA-17

Ranked 19th, I’m pleased with my team here, so I’m making steady adjustments as necessary. I have quite a few mainstay players who have increased in value, so I won’t be in a rush to sacrifice them right now. So far, I’ve been making the odd change, usually in defense, bringing in bargains and differentials when possible. Diogo Jota comes in as a cheap option who has been in strong form and should get game-time.
