Rate My Team: FPL Game-Week 10

Same but different

Game-week 9 was a bit of the same-old (Fernandes pen) and a bit of something new (Tottenham top of the Premiership).

Going into week 9 was a nightmare with Danny Ings, Mo Salah and TAA all out. Anyway, I made it through the week and am now looking forward to Week 10.

My week 9 team

Firstly I am praying Salah will be back and ready for the Brighton game, and from what I hear he is back in training. Many have opted to sell the Egyptian King, which makes him a good differential with a high reward potential. Who thought you would ever hear the word Salah and differential in the same sentence?

The stand-out fixture for week 10 is Leicester vs Fulham. I feel Leicester fixtures over the next three weeks (Fulham, Sheffield United and Brighton) are very favorable to the Foxes who need a pick me up after the Liverpool game. For this reason I will be swapping out Kane for Vardy, and he will be my captain for the game week. Hopefully he will finish the job Dominic Calvert-Lewin started by scoring a hattrick. I will make a quick swift swap to avoid price rise for Vardy and the potential price reduction for Kane that could follow from upcoming difficult fixtures convincing managers to ship the Spurs man out. I would also like to avoid Kane getting injured in champions league. With Leicester top of their Europa league group and facing Braga whom they previously beat 4-0 at home, they can afford to wrap up Vardy in cotton wool and rest him, fielding Kelechi Iheanacho instead (who himself scored two against Braga).

Food for thought: Manchester City has great fixtures, but Pep being Pep is so predictably unpredictable that no one knows what’s going on inside that bald head of his. I don’t know whom to buy, but the safe choice is KDB as he is most likely to start; plus he is on penalties and set pieces.

Lamptey has been a breath of fresh air with his energy and need to get up the pitch. He misses one game following his red card, forcing me to bench him and play a 3-4-3. With 3.6 million in the bank, I want to eventually turn that into a stronger midfield by replacing Bisoumma.

I can’t see past Vardy, but maybe you can, so please have a look and tell me your thoughts. Keep Kane and buy a midfielder to replace Bisoumma? Please share in the comments!
