Ole Gunnar Solskjaer called Man United’s 5-0 thrashing by Liverpool his “darkest day” as manager of the club as the pressure mounts and his future remains uncertain.

The Norwegian has collected one point from the past 12 on offer. Now the Red Devils travel to North London to face Tottenham on Saturday, desperate to bounce back for a win. The United boss has reportedly been given three matches to save his job, but the fixtures are frightening — away to Spurs and Atalanta before a derby against Pep Guardiola’s Man City.

Meanwhile, Chelsea, Liverpool and Man City may very well separate from the peloton of potential fourth place challengers. All of the top three are favored to grab three points this week to move forward.

Liverpool may feel on top of the world after delivering last week’s thrashing at Old Trafford, and invitees Brighton are struggling to score goals despite sitting fifth in the table. Chelsea also looks confident after demolishing Norwich 7-0 last week, so looks likely to grab a win from Newcastle, and City takes on Patrick Vieira’s struggling Crystal Palace Eagles who have just one win and six draws from their nine league games.

In-form teams Leicester and Arsenal face each other in an intriguing match. Both squads suffered difficult starts to their league campaigns but are now on track with confidence and only three points off the top four spot.
