Fantrax NMA Blog Cup: Semifinals Draw

GW-36 this weekend (labeled 37 within Fantrax) will see the semifinals of the NMA Blog Cup. There are four powerhouse teams left in the competition, and we know all the managers, so we can look forward to some great rivalry both this week and in the final (finale Sunday).

Here is the draw for the semifinals with a preview of each match:

Team stallexpress v 1998jjb (Simon v Doug)

This should be an excellent game. Simon’s Team stallexpress (current league ranking 6) is regularly one of the top teams in the league, and he won last year’s head to head cup, so not only does he score consistently, he scores big! But Doug’s 1998jjb, while not ranked quite so high at 27, regularly gets big scores and seems to have a knack for peaking in cup weeks. So Simon’s team is probably the favorite, but anything is possible here.

HELLENIC POWER v Team Chris_Manfredi (Vasilis v Chris)

This pits two teams slightly further apart in the league, but still both excellent players. Vasilis’ HELLENIC POWER is currently ranked 46 while Chris’ Team Chris_Manfredi is in a very impressive 4th. So Chris is definitely the favorite here, but he will be well aware that Vasilis can pull off a shock in this format.
