And so we’re into the final game-week of the season — It has been emotional! The title and relegation spots may have already been decided, but we still have some teams in the EPL with something to play for, and hopefully so do you! If you thought Pep roulette was tough to guess before, it’ll be even more difficult to fathom a guess now. Man City, Man United and Chelsea all have European finals looming next week, so heavy rotation is likely!
Goalkeepers
Will Norris (£4.0, SHU vs BUR): This is definitely a punt. With Nick Pope currently out injured, it’s hard to guess whether Norris or Peacock Farrell will start for the Clarets. Norris started last time out and may get the nod again. Burnley faces the Blades in what could well be a 0-0 snooze fest!
Aaron Ramsdale (£4.6, SHU vs BUR): You may think I’ve gone slightly mad by selecting a goalkeeper from another poor side, but see the reasons above. I’ve gone for the Blades keeper for the same reasons as Norris: there is a chance that these teams will cancel each other out; Sheffield United has looked better and more solid since being relegated.
Defenders
Nat Phillips (£4.1, LIV vs CRY): A cheap way into the Liverpool defense for what looks to be an appealing home game against Crystal Palace. Phillips is not only a great differential at less than 4% ownership, but he has proved he is capable of scoring goals, after his header last time out.
Stuart Dallas (£5.4, LEE vs WBA): A final pick for an FPL Legend, before he inevitably makes his way into Midfield next year. Dallas has been worth his weight in gold this season and offers great attacking potential against an already relegated West Brom side.
Aaron Cresswell (£5.6, WHU vs SOU): The Hammers and Cresswell have been quiet lately, but they took a huge leap towards European Football next season after winning last time out. Cresswell was back among the assists and should fancy himself against a struggling Saints side.
Midfielders
Mo Salah (£12.8, LIV vs CRY): It wouldn’t feel right to not include Salah for these picks, especially as Liverpool has the most attractive fixture this game-week. Salah may have blanked last time out, but he’s level with Kane for the Golden Boot (22 goals) and Liverpool is driven to nab 4th place. Palace has been much improved recently but still shipped three goals to Arsenal midweek. Salah will fancy himself, especially with his track record against The Eagles.
Nicholas Pepe (£7.6, ARS vs BHA): A player who continuously blows hot and cold for the North London side. Pepe reminded us of his high-ceiling with a strong brace against Crystal Palace last time out. this now makes it three in three for the forward who is a great differential at 1% ownership.
Joe Willock (£4.8, FUL vs NEW): Another differential pick! What has happened to Joe Willock? Newcastle is ending the season strongly and it’s largely thanks to the Arsenal loanee. Willock is in fantastic form wih five goals in his last five games. Triple Captain anyone?
Raphinha (£5.5, LEE vs WBA): Leeds is still producing high-scoring matches, and Raphinha looks settled again in the side after returning from injury. The game against West Brom could well be one of the highest scoring fixtures of the season. Raphinha’s ownership is back under 10%, so he’s a solid choice going into this one.
Forwards
Patrick Bamford (£6.5, LEE vs WBA): Bamford completes our triple-up of Leeds picks. He may have blanked back in GW-36, but he reminded everyone of his quality with a great haul in GW-37. Hosting West Brom at Elland Road with fans back is a great fixture for him to finish on a high.
Daniel Jebbison (£4.5, SHU vs BUR): The 17 year old England U18s striker has been given playing time as Sheffield United look ahead to the new season. Burnley has absolutely leaked goals recently. Jebbison could well capitalize and is full of confidence after scoring recently in his first start in the league.
Roberto Firmino (£9.0, LIV vs CRY): Not a player who makes it into our picks regularly, but he looks good value for this game. Firmino has produced three goals plus an assist in his last four fixtures, and should start; especially with Jota struggling for fitness.
