This is an interesting time in the UCL as some teams have already clinched the top spot in their groups, others have secured qualification but are still looking to win their group, while still others play in groups that remain wide open. Fun!
Like the UCL clubs, we managers still have lots of time to move up (or down) our tables. Here’s where I currently stand.
Match Day 4
For me, Match Day 4 ended with a tidy 80 points. I missed Acerbi’s sub for Bellingham, which would have made the week even better. But I got my captain right, as Kane came good again. My move to Bukayo Saka also paid off, as the Englishman had a great game. Most of the other names in my squad had at least performances that were at least solid too.
Match Day 5
This week I’m going with many of the Player Pick suggestions here. My biggest move is that I’ve dropped Kylian Mpabbe for Erling Haaland. David Carmo is suspended so I need to move him out. There aren’t tons of replacement options at his price, but I’m looking at United’s Sergio Reguilon, although I haven’t clicked save on that one yet. I’d like to wait until lineups on Tuesday to see if some viable confirmed starters present themselves.
Haaland starts with the armband, with Harry Kane waiting in the wings should the Norse god stumble. So I have strong cover across both days, which is always a key to success.
I think I’m ready — Let the games (and rating) begin!
