A stale FPL team mixed in with a couple of injuries!

After a busy week of European fixtures, I take a look at my domestic fantasy teams to see what adjustments can elevate me through the pack after an average season so far.

Overall, I’m happy with the balance in the teams, but I need those final tweaks to help me climb. So I’m starting to consider some risks in FPL to help make that difference after my team is looking a bit stale with a couple of injuries that aren’t helping.

Official FPL

Anthony Gordon is in for Cole Palmer, so no further transfers planned. Injury-stricken Bowen and Kabore are on the bench. Son is struggling along with Tottenham, but he may well cause problems this weekend, otherwise he’ll be moved on as I do have a couple of million in the bank.

I’m going for a punt with Mbeumo as captain but may switch and go to Haaland to keep it simple — He could cause the weakened Spurs defense some real problems. I’ll sub Turner out for Pickford and drop him when possible after other priorities are dealt with. It’s hard to bench Porro who has two assists in the last two weeks, but he has a very tough fixture.

Fantrax NMA-11

Son is out and Watkins in due to the similar prices. Bringing in both Manchester United assets as they look to press on in the league following a difficult Champions League campaign so far. Otherwise I’m happy with the balance with some buffer money left.

Fantrax NMA-17

I’m happy with the balance overall even with a fair amount of money left over! I’m open to making additional changes and upgrades if need be. Stones comes in for good value as he looks to return to the Manchester City midfield.
