No rest for the wicked — football comes thick and fast! This week we suffered European tournaments — many premier league sides featuring in the Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference. Even “outsider” Villa has a match in Europe, so it will be interesting to see if that affects currently above-expectation domestic performance.

For what it’s worth, our one and only early match is Friday’s Forest hosting Spurs match, so those two lineups will be confirmed about 45 minutes before our Fantrax deadline. Come back to NMA in that deadline hour to see those lineups and discuss last-minute Fantrax trades in NMA’s Pre-Deadline Chat.

Lukasz Fabianski (WHU vs WOL, $1.00)

Fabianski took a hammering (ouch!) at the hands of Fulham, but he should be tightening up in this one. Wolves have scored one goal in each of their last three league games, so expect a lower scoreline. With Areola out injured, the veteran is the cheapest starting keeper.

Ederson (MCI vs CRY, $11.15)

Reasonably priced for a premium keeper in a quality side. Ederson is cheaper than many other shot-stoppers out there. Man City looks to kick on from the weekend’s comeback against Luton Town, So Pep will fancy any selection hosting an inconsistent Palace.

Pedro Porro (NOT vs TOT, $16.74)

Even when Tottenham was in that dreadful run, Porro was still delivering. He now has an impressive four assists in his last five league outings. Spurs should have a bit more confidence after their big win against Newcastle, so you’d fancy more returns from the wing-back.

Pau Torres (BRE vs AST, $9.54)

Going from strength to strength in his first season for Villa, he has returned in front of goal twice so far. Villa got through Man City, Arsenal and Spurs, so they’ll back themselves against a Brentford side without Mbeumo in attack.

Nathan Ake (MCI vs CRY, $7.40)

Let’s double-up Citizens in this decent home fixture. Ake isn’t shy in front of goal, having a goal plus an assist, so he could do well at both ends of the pitch.

John McGinn (BRE vs AST, $10.80)

Captain fantastic is a solid option after scoring the winner against title-rival Arsenal GW-15. Plenty of Aston Villa assets are worth backing, with McGinn offering good value for money.

Cole Palmer (CHE vs SHU, $9.48)

Chelsea continues to struggle for consistency, but hosting Sheffield United is a perfect way to get back to business. Palmer has been one of the bright sparks of the Blues’ season.

Jack Grealish (MCI vs CRY, $6.35)

Jack hasn’t hit the heights of last season, but he scored last time out, which he could kick on from. Man City doesn’t underperform for long, so you wouldn’t bet against Pep clicking the right lineup into place. With Haaland struggling, Pep will be looking to players like Grealish to provide the goals.

Alex Iwobi (NEW vs FUL, $8.18)

The 2023 season is new lease of life for the experienced Iwobi. Fulham is absolutely cooking recently, winning in style with a thumping 5-0 win over West Ham. Iwobi has been linking up well top, and creating two goals plus an assist in his last two games. He’s a viable option with Willian suffering a knock.

Richarlison (NOT vs TOT, $8.88)

He stepped up when Tottenham needed it most! Spurs hop to kick on, so they’ll look to Richarlison again to provide the goals. He was unfortunate not to score the week before, but he does look back to form following his recent challenges with injury.

Dominic Solanke (BOU vs LUT, $12.80)

Solanke has been delivering consistently this season, with eight goals plus an assist so far this season. In-form Bournemouth has an appealing home game against struggling Luton Town; the promoted side has been pushing the big teams but still finding it hard to earn points in the table.

Matheus Cunha (WHU vs WOL, $15.44)

It’s hard to leave this guy out at the moment, Cunha having returned in each of Wolves’ last five league games. His price has risen rapidly, so I hope you bought him at a lower price during one of NMA’s recent barn-door discussions.
