GW-16 wasn’t the best of weeks — FPL’s global average being just 40 points. The best FPL managers succeeded through unpopular picks.

With this in mind, let’s look at some of the least-owned players who might move your arrows this weekend.

Dominic Solanke (£6.6, Bournemouth v Luton)

Ownership 9.1%

Ranked as the fourth best-performing striker in FPL, Solanke has been the Cherries’ go-to man for goals. With eight in 16 games, Solanke has already surpassed his tally for the entire 2022-23 campaign.

Richarlison (£6.6, Nott’m Forest v Spurs)

Ownership 1.3%

Two goals and an impressive all-round display against Newcastle have made Richarlison a productive FPL asset. Playing up top against the Magpies, Richarlison looked full of confidence and scored his first goal with his feet for Tottenham.

Raul Jimenez (£5.2, Newcastle v Fulham)

Ownership 2.1%

With four goals in his last five games, it looks like Jimenez has found his groove. The Mexico international has looked like his previous self recently, putting chances away with ease. The Cottagers won their last two games with a scoreline of five-nil, and Jimenez played an important role in both fixtures.

Abdoulaye Doucoure (£5.5, Burnley v Everton)

Ownership 1.7%

Looking to bring in an Everton asset? Doucoure is your man. Featuring in a more advanced role this season, Doucoure has stepped up in the absence of Iwobi. The midfielder now plays with more freedom and has repaid his manager’s faith with more goals and assists.

James Ward Prowse (£6.1, West Ham v Wolves)

Ownership 9.8%

Ranked as the 18th best-performing midfielder, JWP is due for another free-kick goal, and I have a feeling it will be coming soon. The England international has five assists and three goals this season.

Matheus Cunha (£5.7, West Ham v Wolves)

Ownership 4.9%

Looking for an in-form striker? Don’t look past Cunha. Cunha has delivered attacking returns in his last five games. The striker’s partnership with Hwang has caused big problems for Premier League defenders this season, and he looks primed to maintain his impressive form.
