Scott Sinclair Joins Aston Villa

1

After being labeled as one of England's brightest young talents following success at Wigan and West Bromwich Albion, Scott Sinclair has failed to break into the first team at Manchester City.

Aston Villa have now offered the winger a lifeline, taking him to Villa Park on loan for the rest of the season. He should have a good shot at claiming a starting role, and was a fantasy gold-mine during his time with The Baggies.

Currently available in the Yahoo! game for just a shade over £1m, Sinclair represents a bargain bench option at the very least, and could be a valuable spot-starter in your fantasy team.

Will you bring him into your team for Week 23, or wait to see whether he earns a starting role first?

Diego Costa 3-Match Ban Confirmed

22

Chelsea striker Diego Costa has lost the appeal submitted to the FA yesterday following the Violent Conduct charge levied against him following his stamp on Liverpool's Emre Can in the Capital One Cup semi-final.

The League's leading scorer will now miss at least 3 matches, including this weekend's crucial top-of-the-table clash with Manchester City.

Many fantasy managers hold Costa at around £5m in the Yahoo! game and will face a tough decision...keep or drop?

What will you do with your team? Will Didier Drogba come into your thinking moving forward?

Crystal Palace Sign Mutch, Ameobi

1

Former Cardiff City star man Jordon Mutch has put an end to his 6-month nightmare at QPR, signing for Crystal Palace today.

The Eagles also announced the signing of 33-year-old Newcastle striker Shola Ameobi, who will link back up with former manager Alan Pardew.

What do you think of the new arrivals? Will either be a regular starter and, if so, who will they replace in the starting lineup?

Injury Update: Sergio Aguero ruled out until January

40

We all feared it would be a long injury layoff when Manchester City's star striker went down in the early stages of Saturday's match against Everton, and today we have confirmation that the Argentine suffered ligament damage to his knee:

#MCFC confirm Sergio Aguero could be back for the FA Cup tie at the beginning of January or the Everton game in the EPL the following week

Who will you be bringing into your team in Aguero's place for week 16? Will you buy one expensive player or spread the funds throughout your starting lineup?

What To Do With Those Discounts?

With Diego Costa suspended, Angel Di Maria injured, and a strong bench necessary to mitigate a host of rotation concerns in Week 14, what strategy will you be using when deciding your team?

International Watch: Fabregas ruled out of Spain Qualifier

5

Chelsea and Spainish International Cesc Fabregas has been ruled out of Spain´s Euro 2016 Qualifier with Belarus with a hamstring complaint. Jose Mourinho even stated he had ¨gambled¨ when playing him 90 minutes against Liverpool and the CL midweek match respectively. However, Fabregas is being tipped to be fit for Chelsea´s next league match against West Bromwich Albion on Nov 22nd. Given that Chelsea have one of the stronger match ups in Week 12, Fabregas´s starting status will need to be monitored. I suggest having a viable backup bench option in case the Spanish midfielder fails to regain fitness.

David Moyes Confirmed As Manager Of Real Sociedad

40

After enduring a torrid season at Manchester United, former Everton manager David Moyes has been named Real Sociedad's new boss. What do you think? Is this a win-win for club and coach, or will the struggles continue?

Since animated gifs are such a big deal around SBNation, here's what I was doing while (ok, well after) Aston Villa v. West Brom yesterday. That's me finishing Superfrog Triathlon, the "Original Half-Ironman". Thanks to the kind words from everyone over the course of my training. Hopefully I will be able to spend a little more time -- probably to my team's detriment -- on fantasy football, and fantasy football blogging, going forward.
